Alibaba is the most well-known Chinese online B2B marketplace, with millions of users active on this legit and safe website. And sourcing from Alibaba is always the first choice for buyers. They can find manufacturers on it directly with the most competitive price. But many buyers are wondering whether there are any other similar sites to Alibaba, or if they can source products from their local B2B websites like Alibaba.

There are many guides on Google classifying many retail and dropshipping sites like Amazon
eBay
Salehoo
Doba
into similar sites to Alibaba.

But as we all know, Alibaba is a genuine B2B platform. Suppliers on it are manufacturers and traders
not retailers.
So, in my post, I will select the following 22 Alibaba alternative websites.

Ten Sites like Alibaba in China
Alibaba VS Global Sources VS Made in China
Dhgate VS Aliexpress
Five Sites like Alibaba in USA
Three Sites like Alibaba in Europe
Four Sites like Alibaba in India

1. Sites like Alibaba in China

Global Sources

Compared with Alibaba, it will take Chinese traders and manufacturers a larger membership fee, usually 14700–29400 USD, to register in Global Sources. So many small trading companies won’t join because of high fees.

The platform focuses on electronics
auto parts
accessories
gifts
crafts
jewelry

And you can find suppliers around the world.

Most products on Global Sources have their prices and MOQ directly written on the product page, but some don’t, so you must contact suppliers to get it.

Some suppliers on Global Sources set a higher MOQ than Alibaba, especially for customization. Only when your order meets their MOQ will they negotiate with you further.

Besides online service, Global Sources also holds export sourcing shows in Hong Kong SAR every April and October — eight events each year, including the world’s largest electronics shows and lifestyle/fashion shows.

So apart from comprehensive trade shows like the Canton Fair, you can also discover specialized industry shows via Global Sources.

Made in China

Made in China is another wholesale website like Alibaba. All products are manufactured by Chinese suppliers because the platform promotes Chinese products globally. Its main product categories include machinery, auto parts, motorcycle parts, and more.

MOQ is similar to Alibaba — negotiable, often dozens or hundreds. But customized products require much higher MOQ.

The platform supports various payment methods
Paypal
L/C
T/T
D/P
Western Union

You can see supported methods on each product page.

My Suggestion — Alibaba VS Global Sources VS Made in China

For UI & UX, Alibaba is the best. Product introductions and visuals are clearer, and many listings include videos.

But you can’t say which platform is definitively best, because:

  1. Chinese suppliers typically open stores on all three platforms.
  2. Each platform focuses on different product categories.
  3. MOQ and pricing for similar products don’t differ drastically.
  4. Final pricing depends on customization and supplier stock, not the platform.

So don’t overthink which platform is better — focus on supplier selection.

DHgate

DHgate focuses on small orders — ideal for Amazon sellers
eBay sellers
dropshippers

MOQ can be as low as 10 pieces.

Unlike Alibaba, DHgate displays prices and MOQ directly on the product page, so you don’t always need to send inquiries.

You can also see country-specific pricing by selecting your location.

Some buyers worry about DHgate’s Trustpilot reviews, but it is a legitimate platform. The key is choosing reliable suppliers.

Aliexpress

Aliexpress is a retail platform owned by Alibaba Group — not exactly a B2B site. But many sellers accept small wholesale orders (dozens of units).

You must negotiate bulk discounts because Aliexpress doesn’t show wholesale pricing like DHgate.

Bulk price is usually negotiable, especially for large orders.

My Suggestion — DHgate VS Aliexpress

If you need 1–2 units → choose Aliexpress.
If you need dozens → compare the two platforms and choose the cheaper one.
Always review seller history, reviews, order volume, and refund policies.

1688

1688 is designed for Chinese domestic buyers. Most suppliers don’t speak English, and the site is only in Chinese, so communication is difficult.

It’s useful for checking price ranges but not ideal for placing bulk overseas orders.

Yiwugo

Yiwugo has an English version but few online product listings. All suppliers have physical stores in Yiwu International Trade Market.

It’s essentially an online supplier directory.

Communication is easier via WeChat
phone
email

HKTDC

A Hong Kong statutory body established in 1966. It offers:

HKTDC Online Marketplace
Small-Order Zone
Trade Fairs

The online marketplace lacks detailed product pages, so you need to contact suppliers for details. It’s more like a directory.

Small-Order Zone supports orders from 5–1,000 pcs with PayPal or credit card payments.

HKTDC also organizes major trade shows, including the world’s largest electronics and gifts fairs.

China.cn

An authoritative B2B platform with real manufacturers and trading companies. English version available.

Information is limited compared to Alibaba, so further communication with suppliers is often required.

Searching products yields better results than searching suppliers.

ECVV

Shenzhen-based B2B platform focused on machinery
equipment
hardware
building materials
lighting

Supplier information is complete and clear.

Choose premium suppliers:
Diamond
Platinum
Gold

But overall supplier options are fewer than Alibaba.

Sites like Alibaba in USA

ThomasNet

A North American industrial sourcing platform.
You can search suppliers via categories or product catalogs.

Company profiles include product details

business descriptions
and you can jump to supplier websites directly.

Great filtering tools: search by distance, company size, revenue, year founded.

Custom Quotes helps match you with up to 5 qualified suppliers.

Wholesale Central

A wholesale-only directory without detailed product pages.

Search by category or keyword.
You can jump directly to supplier websites.

Contains 380,000+ items, and has an Asian suppliers section.

But categories are limited and membership rules for suppliers aren’t strict, so verify supplier reliability.

Worldwide Brands

A directory of dropshippers and bulk wholesalers.
MOQ can be as low as 500 USD.

You can submit product requests to help find wholesalers.

Membership costs about 299 USD for lifetime access.

Supplier Database

Useful for matching Amazon products to manufacturers.
